Arrival day!

After sanding and filler putty
After first coat of primer, rivets are laid
on
Retracts installed and scale details
A modified syringe filled with Elmer's
glue is used to put on the rivets
Since the rivets are raised, final sanding
is impossible, so a sealer is used to lock
in the rivet detail and provide a ultra
smooth surface to paint on right out of the
gun.

After the first coat of base(which will
be the trim color in the final product)
I had to install the light kit just to
see how it will look!
The second coat of color.
Base is very delicate in
this stage and a special
masking tape is used to keep
from pulling up the white
undercoat
After the final coat of
clear which gives it the
luster and protection
A little striping tape and
some decale really bring it
to life, soon to come, scale
wiper blades, door handles,
and antennas.
Now to fit this into that
a few modifications were
required on the frame and
the fuel tank had to be
replaced with a smaller one
to fit the fuselage.
The receiver and battery
mount is cut away and a new
one is built from plywood
